Yes, the facility needs some good “Mothering” i.e. cleaning and tidying, keep the workspace fresh and clean.
The person or small business selected shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, supervision, and transportation necessary to perform cleaning services in accordance with the needs of the office.
The person or small business selected shall provide full janitorial services for buildings and restrooms at the USDA‑ARS Prosser Worksite. Services include general cleaning, disinfection, restocking, waste removal, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and periodic floor maintenance.

Janitorial services shall be performed Monday through Friday between 0730 and 1430, excluding federal holidays and facility closures. The person or small business must maintain 100% attendance to ensure timely performance of all tasks.

Perform Once per Week:
– Check and resupply paper towels.
– Remove visible cobwebs from walls, ceilings, and entries.
– Clean chairs at tables in the multipurpose room.
– Clean tables in the multipurpose room.
– Dust mop and/or sweep floors.
– Mop floors with a neutral cleaner.
– Clean sinks and counters in the lunchroom.

Perform Monthly:
– Dust and clean interior window sills.
– Dust tops of appliances.
– Dust or vacuum window coverings.
– Spot clean walls and doors.
– Dust vents.

Perform Annually:
– Strip, clean, wax, and buff all VCT floors. (can be sub-contracted)

Paid Holidays
Work shall not be performed on federal holidays. If a holiday falls on a scheduled service day, the Contractor shall perform services on another day within the same work week.

Federal holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
